The artistic program which the group presents, it 's the result of an accurate study done on the collections of Pitrè, Vico, Rigoli, Salomone Marino of Favara, which are ancient texts of the history of the island, but also of a research done on the territory.The group is distinguished, not only for its songs and dances, but also for their beautiful and sumptuous costumes of the ninth century. The "Canterini" group, bases its foundations on the pledge, support, and the spirit of young people who don't have, and never had, the intention of making a profit out of it. In foreign countries the group has always given a big contribution to defining the real image of Sicily, an image full of ethnic and cultural traditions, that has its hystorical roots deep at the beginning of civilization.
Besides the various shows held world wide the group has also held many television exhibitions, on national TV like, RAI, CANALE 5, on international TV - CHIN RADIO (CANADA), SAN PRODUCCION (ARGENTINA).
They have recorded cassettes, published " U CIRNIGGHIU " collection of maxims and ethnic songs , and " PALAZZO BRUCIO" a collection of sicilian stories and from Galati, a small sicilian village. They are member of the F.I.T.P. since 1983
They created a real folk dance school, attended by many young people
